Established in 1993, Enserve offers comprehensive, high-quality valve repair services for the Oil & Gas, Petro-Chemical, Chemical, Power, Water, Mining & Minerals, Food & Beverage industries. The company has successfully established itself over the years due to its safe and reliable quality control processes.

Enserve has over 100 employees in its centres throughout the country. As one of the largest privately-owned valve companies in SA, Enserve emerges with a turnover of $5 million per annum. Despite the company’s many accomplishments that include its awarded contracts, it had humble beginnings.

1993

Enserve was Founded by Steve Bannister and Pieter van Schalkwyk in South Africa in 1993 and began trading from 28 Edison Boulevard in Vanderbijlpark.

Steven Allan Bannister

Managing Director

Steve Bannister is the founder and Managing Director of Enserve Engineering Services (Pty) Ltd. Mr Bannister graduated with a B Ing (Mechanical Engineering) from The University of Stellenbosch. After Mr Bannister held senior engineering management positions in Sasolburg’s Chlorine Division as well as its Cyanide Peroxide Division, he formed his own company in 1993. Presently, Enserve has branches all over South Africa and employs over 100 people.

Thomas Blignault Boucher

Tommy Boucher completed his five-year apprenticeship in 1974. From 1975-1977, Mr Boucher worked as a boilermaker at Dorbyl. Mr Boucher worked as a Foreman for many years at AECI Chlor-alkali and plastics (Pty) Ltd and Sasol Polymers. Currently, Mr Boucher holds a senior position as Workshop Manager- Safety and Control Valves at Enserve Naledi and is responsible for its safety and Control valve reconditioning department. Tommy joined Enserve on 9 September 1999 and is also a shareholder.

Gary le Roux

Gary le Roux completed a three-year apprenticeship as a fitter at Vecor based in Vanderbijlpark. Mr le Roux then worked as a Maintenance Planner at ISCOR from 1980 to 1995. With years of experience in the industry, Mr le Roux presently holds a senior position as Workshop Manager- Mechanical Valves and is responsible for all aspects related to manual valve refurbishment at Enserve Naledi. Gary joined Enserve on 5 March 1995 and is also a shareholder.

Daniel Abraham Ras

Danie Ras is the emissions monitoring services manager, and director of operations at Enserve Environmental Services (Pty) Ltd. Danie Ras holds a B-Tech degree and National diploma in Safety Management from The University of South Africa. He also has a qualification in Essential Air Quality Management from North-West University (NWU). Daniel joined Enserve on 23 November 2007 and is also a shareholder.

Eddie Möhlmann

Eddie Möhlmann has over 36 years’ experience and is qualified in Industrial Process Control & Instrumentation, with a vast range of experience in Senior Sales and Business Development positions. Mr Möhlmann managed many Emerson product divisions for the Emerson business partners in South Africa. One particular product was Fisher Control Valves. In 2014, Mr Möhlmann registered his own business, Field Control Services (Pty) Ltd, in partnership with Enserve. Mr Möhlmann joined Enserve on 1 September 2018 and is one of the shareholders of the company.

Pieter Hendrik de Frey

Pieter de Frey is a skilled Foreman, Valve Fitter, Boilermaker and Diesel Mechanic. One of Mr de Frey’s many achievements is his award for People Management for New Managers (AstroTech) and his 20 years of service with Enserve. Mr de Frey occupied positions that include Valve fitter, foreman, Internal Sales Manager as well as workshop, Site and Current KZN Regional manager at Enserve. Pieter joined Enserve on 1 January 1997.

Brandon Botha

Brandon Botha has a strong Mechanical background and strives for perfection in his industry. Mr Botha is in the process of completing his diploma in Mechanical Engineering. He previously worked as a Valve Fitter, Supervisor, Site Manager and Sales Representative at Enserve. After years of experience overseeing various projects, Brandon was promoted to Area Manager of the Mpumalanga Region at Enserve. Brandon joined Enserve on 12 February 2015.

Wesley Stanaway

Wesley Stanaway has a BCOM in Business Management, a BA Honours in Business Management and is currently in the process of obtaining a Master’s in Business and Accounting from the University of South Africa. He has completed several training courses in bearings, belting, condition monitoring, gearboxes, fasteners, hydraulics, power transmission and seals. Wesley is Garlock PVP certified in expansion joints, gaskets, hydraulic parts, valves, compression packing and diaphragms. With over 11 years’ experience within both the Engineering- and Sealing industry, Wesley joined the Enserve Group in 2020 to provide a more comprehensive offering of products and services to the industry.

Annalize Smit

Annalize Smit joined Enserve in June 2019 and was promoted from Safety Manager to Training Manager. She has worked as a lecturer at Damelin Vaal, a Facilitator and Assessor at Tussche Training and the Training Force, as well as a SHEQ Administrator at Babcock. Annalize also occupied a position in admin and worked as an Assessor at Qualitas Career Academy.

Annalize Smit holds a tertiary Personal Assistant Diploma and a Website Design certificate. She is a qualified Assessor and a Fall Protection Planner currently in the process of obtaining her NEBOSH International Diploma.
